Ashish Narrandes is a 22 year old South African racing driver. He started racing in the South African Formula M championship in 2012. In 2013 he was offered a seat in the Formula 4 championship in India. He has been the only rookie in each of the championships with some drivers having more than 15 years of experience. He had strong race performances in 2014 overtaking an average of 8 cars per race with his strongest performance racing from 21st to 7th position in 8 laps setting one of the fastest lap times of the race under heavy rain conditions.
He was then offered a seat in the Rotax Senior Karting championship for the first time which is one of the fastest karting categories in the world. After only my second practice session, I was only 0.6 seconds of India’s current karting champion who has been karting for over 12 years. Ashish visited Top Gear this year where he clocked the fastest time on the F1 Simulator run by Supersport, impressive!
Due to his outstanding performance, He has been offered a scholarship drive in the Formula BMW Asia series in India.
He is currently seeking sponsors who would like to partner with him for the 2014 season. There are plenty of marketing opportunities available such as branding on his racing suit, helmet, race wear and racing car to name a few. He has received a lot of media coverage not only in India but in South Africa as well in 2013, such as newspaper articles, radio interviews and online interviews.
